Eight pieces from my Pattern Painting series will be included in a group exhibit at Upstairs Artspace in Tryon, NC. The combined exhibit, New Waves & Something to Crow About, features work from my fellow MFA gratuates from WCU as well as work from other noted artists. All artwork will be for sale! ~~ Exhibit runs April 15 - May 28, 2011~~ Please join us for an opening reception on Saturday, April 16 from 5-8pm

Ok, kids, it's time to get those awesome, one-of-a-kind, handmade gifts for all your bestest friends and family! Mother's Day, Graduation, and all those summer birthdays are coming soon! ~~~~ I will be selling my scarves! I was so excited at the response my scarves received at the Holiday Sale, that I've been busy in the studio dyeing and printing many, many more! ~~~~ Handmade Springtime Sale WCU Fine Art Museum April 14 - 3:00-6:30pm Wine and appetizer reception 5 -6pm  My work will be part of a group show, Unfettered, at the Visual Art Exchange for the month of April. Come to the First Friday reception on April 1, 2011 from 6-9pm. Check out the art, enjoy snacks, and socialize!  I think this is one of my favorite scarves to date! This scarf has several layers of color and octopus pattern printing. The images are actually from a real octopus that I photographed. I may just keep this one for myself....   Detail My piece, Buildings V, will be up for auction at the For the Love of Art Fundraiser at the Visual Art Exchange in Raleigh, NC! This is a great way to raise money for a wonderful art organization that has amazing programs in its community!  Buildings V, Mixed-media I am working on a brand new batch of silk, printed scarves. My scarves will be on sale at the WCU Fine Art Museum this Thursday, November 18, 2010. Each scarf is hand printed so they are one of a kind! They make wonderful holiday gifts! Come out to the Handmade Holiday Trunk Show at the Fine Art Museum! (Click on announcement below for details)   I'm so excited for new scarves! Its always a surprise to see what happens when they come out of the dye-bath. The colors blend and migrate together in such improvisational ways. Now its time to add another dimension with screen printing! Let the magic continue...   I just added a new Gallery to my website. Click on the "Scarves" link to see a recent collection of hand-dyed silk scarves! My scarves are available at The Bascom in Highlands, NC.  Some of my paintings can currently be found at two different locations on Western Carolina University's campus. A small selection is at the Coffee Lounge in the Fine Arts Museum, as well as the UC Showroom at the Hines University Center. If you are in Cullowhee, check it out!
